Beans Beans, the Musical Fruit!

...The more you eat, the more you toot >: D

This'll be the first instalment of 'Beany Beats' - a non-scheduled, fairly random, music mini-blog!
It's not much really - but it'll just be a brief insight into some artists or songs, which in the hype of the 'OMG THIS SONG ROCKS' moment, I think deserves a shout-out - and should be shared.

With the release of Tron: Legacy, a fire has been re-lit in my heart for Daft Punk - who I've always loved, and are just one of the best electronic music artists, ever, in my opinion. I've listened to the films soundtrack (all songs by Daft Punk), and can say with a high degree of truth - that it's great. Personally, I don't think you can get the full experience listening to just the soundtrack here - as it's meant to be played in-sync with the film right? But in any other case, if you love Daft Punk or an electronic beat - you'll love the Tron: Legacy Soundtrack.

Daft Punk - Digital Love (Just because I love this song)

Coincidently though, another one of my favourite artists - Frankmusik, has just released a free download of his song 'Our Discovery (Tribute to Daft Punk)'... you can probably see where this is going ;D Well basically, it's an tribute track, based off the album Discovery by Daft Punk - which in essence is just a bit of fun - but for me really highlights the upbeatness and joy of being a Daft Punk fan. I just loved it, so here it is!

Keep watching for another Beanie Beats soon!

How Bothersome...

Today has been rather sucky.
Not too sucky, but I guess I'll settle on using the word 'bothersome'.

My eyes had been feeling pretty fatigued most of the day, so I put that to a crazy dream that... must have kept me awake all night? Yeah, that made total sense.. but anyway, I thought I was tired. I made it - well you could say a little worse when I accidently hit myself in the eye...

It died down fortunately, only as the other one ballooned too. But that also went away ;DIt kind of looked like a tough-nut battle-wound (okay, so fight casualty!) - but seeing as not so long ago, I'd spent the night in 4 hospitals treating my eye hyphema (I might write up this 'adventure' another time?), I was getting a little tired with optical handicaps! You would not believe the amount of light, drops and squishy jelly they put in/on my eye that time....

Also, one of my arms does not allow me to bend itself, whilst the other is in pain.
I think tennis tomorrow is off the cards *sigh*

New Years Resolutions

Can you guess what one of them will be?

Yes - gotta damn well kick my ass into shape and start working this joint... I'll be hoping to update more regularly - and not spend as long having a bit of a mental block, and well - being lazy.

Also, smile more! I'm not a misery-guts, not apathetic and do enjoy a lot of things. Just tend not to show it always. I'll give that as a piece of advice for self-confidence and enjoyment of life too - nothing's better than an infectious blast of pearly whites! So if you've been shy (as I have been in the past) - but don't want to give of that image of 'I don't want to be involved.. gah! D:"... keep your head up and show that grin, it does wonders.
I hope this is not too Agony Aunt-esque.

But other than that - I'm a man of the moment. There's the usual "Exercise more!"; "Work-harder!" and "Wake up earlier!" Some help, with a little preparation and effort put into them, but for everything else, there's Mastercard always combating them in the here and now. Why limit yourself to resolution targets when you can do so much more? :)

Oh, and I should spend less time on electronics, jeez.
Happy (belated) New Year!
(P.S. Blogger won't let me do this in the text size I want. Screw them ¬_¬)

Once Upon a Time...

Just realised date of last post is wrong!... Kinda used it as a test post and edited it a week later, but yeah, from here onwards - plain sailing I hope. After a little encouragement, and a bit of a kicking my own backside into shape (...figure that one out O_o) I think I've decided to take part in this NaNoWriMo thing. Well. Kind of. So what is NaNoWriMo? - Apart from sounding very silly?

National Novel Writing Month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin    writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30.

Sounds pretty substantial. And you're probably right, it damn well is ;D However, my stance will be a fairly more relaxed one. Yes, I'll try to write a 50,000 word novel. But no, not in a month. Hey hey, wait a minute! That defeats the point of the competition then right? Once again, you're probably right. So what's the problem?

Because of the limited writing window, the ONLY thing that matters in NaNoWriMo is output. It's all about quantity, not quality. The kamikaze approach forces you to lower your expectations, take risks, and write on the fly.
Make no mistake: You will be writing a lot of crap. And that's a good thing. By forcing yourself to write so intensely, you are giving yourself permission to make mistakes. To forgo the endless tweaking and editing and just create. To build without tearing down.

I'm a bit of a perfectionist... I don't like things to be incomplete or full of crap ;D Not saying that the competitors novels will be crap that is - they'll probably be better than mine anyway! But to be honest, I don't really have the intense interest, nor writing expertise of people that have the time, effort, grit and determination to cram this into one month. Those people are machines! Therefore, I won't actually enter the competition - but set it as a project I can hopefully enjoy, and get something out of. After the external motivation of course, I realised this would be a good challenge to set for myself. I do have an imagination to use after all. I damn well hope I can do it D:

My novel will probably be cliché, unrealistic and all, but hey, who cares! It can be fiction ;P So I'll be starting sometime soon - and finishing in about 10 years no doubt! As I'd like people to interact with this blog (though they never will ;D), I'll put some questions out there.

            - Have you ever thought up your own stories (in your head)?
            - If so, what were they about?

I won't steal ideas haha, but I do find it interesting to listen to them, even if it's very brief. And hey, if you want to say, but are too embarrassed, there's always being Anonymous! I'm now off to dress as a Roman...

Número Uno~

I can't actually speak Spanish... German is my forté! Oh shi-, French. Don't want that.

I've had a pretty rotten day, so I guess saying this for a first post is a little hypocritical haha. But I promised to myself I'd get it up and running today. I've wasted a lot of time doing nothing with this to be honest...

As for thee blog though, I'm gonna aim it to be a more optimistic view on things in general. Be that a random topic, or just events that happen to me or others day by day. I'd like input from a community of sorts if possible (questions, comments, topics, to chat?)!.. Though, I'm not expecting a great deal really. No-one's thaat interested in what I do. Even most of my friends haha.

Sorry post number one is a bit lackluster, but as you know - shiz happens!
My 'About Me' is at my normal level of happiness though. I wrote it yesterday. If you want a more accurate portrayal of a normal me, what and how I write there gives a better representation ;D  Check it out!

When I'm happy :D

I hope over time I get a few followers and what-not though! I promise, I don't bite.. much ;P Hope you'll stay~

And also, the fantastic banner was made by my friend over at risusaTEN! MASSIVE thanks to her and there's the link if you'd like to get interested into a bit of Jpop. (Trust me, do it! She and her friend have a fantastic site going - and they're both lovely, so don't feel afraid to drop a comment or two to them every once in a while :D)
